Grateful

I am so grateful for my incredible husband and his patience that he has with our children. We went to Matt's football game tonight out at Seton Catholic and Davin was a bit of handful at the end. He took off running and Bryan went after him. He might complain at the time but he is so patient with Davin. He spoke to him in a calm tone and punished him but he does not raise his voice. I wish I were better at this. I lose my cool so much easier I feel.
When we got home, he was still so patient. It was late and Bryan was still so good to Davin. Brielle was being super good and not adding to the craziness so maybe that helped. He showered and played a little with Davin and we did our usual routine for bed with smiles. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that the experience Bryan had at the game with Davin's inability to obey at times could have ruined the rest of our evening and left our son crying. Instead, he punished, comforted and moved on. Before bed, after Davin had time to calm down, Bryan reminded him of the lesson he learned tonight and explained why we can't run off. Davin seemed to understand.
I am so grateful for the patience that Bryan has with these 2. He has been a trooper as I have been in Les Mis with watching them. As fun as this play has been, I will be so glad to be back with my family where I belong.
